Advice and Tips

Enjoyed reading my blog on my travels??

Maybe you guys might be interested in going to these destinations..

Let me give you some advice or tips so that you can make your trip more memorable and without regrets..

Mode of transport

  • Coach service available at Golden Mile Complex,Beach Road.
  • Budget airline,AirAsia(Phuket) or Tiger Airways(Krabi).

Research

  • Read up any guide books like Lonely Planet.
  • Surf the net and find out more about the particular destination.
  • Take note what kind of activities you are going to do for your holiday.
  • Know when is the monsoon season.

Money

  • Would be wise if you have a ATM card with Cirrus logo to prevent thiefs.
  • There are loads of ATMs available at Krabi and Phuket.
  • Set 23 baht as your benchmark so as not to be overbudget.
  • Exchange at least $50 here in Singapore.
  • Advisable to change currencies at your destinations as it is much cheaper.
  • Always bargain and bargain.

Planning

  • Plan how many days you would like to spend at each particular place.
  • Advisable to spend at least 2 days at each location.
  • Know when is the peak period.
  • Rates are usually cheaper during the non-peak period.

KRABI

  • More for couples on a honeymoon.
  • Ao Nang or Railay Beach..your choice.
  • Shooting range.
  • Lots of beautiful islands which is located near the Andaman Sea.
  • Very laidback destination.
  • Budget accomodations available.
  • Not advisable to stay there for long or it might be too boring for you.

KOH PHI PHI

  • Main attractions is to visit Maya Beach.
  • Disco by the beach.
  • Don't be choosy on accomodation.
  • Take note of the weather if you are going to do water sports.
  • Not much for shopping.

PHUKET

  • Shop till you drop.
  • Shooting range.
  • Great beaches to visit especially the most popular,Patong Beach.
  • Great view of the sunset seen from Patong Beach.
  • Lots of restaurants ranging from Arabic,Thai,Italian,Korean and Malaysian.
  • Massage parlour almost everywhere.
  • The most happening spot for nightlife,Soi Bangla Road.
  • Must watch..Muay Thai Boxing.

Basically,that is all for my tips and advice.One more thing,take note of the tsunami sign and where you should run in case it really happens.(touchwood)
